The PrinsjesFestival, which was organised for the eighth time in 2020, focuses on the celebration of democracy. Because of Covid-19, the PrinsjesFestival was in danger this year, but by thinking in terms of solutions, various parts of the program could still continue. The Prince’s Breakfast and Prince’s Hatwalk events therefore joined forces this year.
At Lange Voorhout in The Hague, more than 500 prominent guests were invited to have breakfast together, seated at a table 1.5m apart, and to discuss democracy and connection. During breakfast, guests could enjoy the PrinsjesHatwalk with a spectacular dance and fashion show with the ready to wear collection by Paul Schulten, which was combined with hats by hat designer Mirjam Nuver. This was followed by the announcement of the 2020 hat design competition.
We look back on an extremely fashionable and successful PrinsjesHatwalk. A good example that events within the current measures, albeit with an adjusted layout, can still take place perfectly.
